Got it to work, here's what I did:
1) Removed via Unistall a Program (Win 7 control panel)
2) Opened Excel, opened a PowerPivot workbook
3) Double clicked on the DaxStudio.vsto file
It installed correctly with the add-in visible in the ribbon.

I think it would be great if we can add a number of commonly used shortcut keys such as:
Any thoughts?
Similar issue seesm to occur for Tabular Model. A calculated measure from AdventureWorks, "Internet Total Sales" has currency formatting. It seems that the output is displayed as plain numbers on both Excel table and DAX Output grid.
EVALUATE
SUMMARIZE(
'Internet Sales'
, "Internet Total Sales"
, 'Internet Sales'[Internet Total Sales]
)
Just an idea here, would it be possible to have source control integration? I think it would be nice to check in/out unit testing code straight from the tool.
Thank you!
Hi, there.
I have the same problem as mentioned above. However, It wasn't sorted out by rebooting.
PowerPivot Version 10.50.4000.0 is installed in Excel 2010 and a PPVT model is in the workbook from where I am trying to open DAX studio. It opens correctly but It doesn't connect to the model unfortunately
I installed both versions (1.0.1 and 1.0.0) but I didn't succeed.
I hope somebody could give me a hand. Thanks a lot,
David
Do you have a Pivottable saved in the PowerPivot workbook. At the moment we can only find a PowerPivot model by checking all the connections on all the pivot tables in your workbook.
We are actually looking to re-write our metadata handling to use the new CSDL metadata schema rowset which is the same information Power View uses to display it's field list. When this happens I suspect this will switch us over to getting a name ordered list. The current ordering is an artifact of us using some of the multi-dimensional schema rowsets to derive a tabular view.

Hi, all.
I had the PowerPivot v1 installed on my PC so I changed it to PPVT v2. Now Dax Studio seems to work :)
Regards,

When installing DAX Studio (64 bit) for Excel 2013 64-bit I get the following error message
"A required component for interacting with Excel is not available. Please run setup.exe"
Any thoughts on what is causing this issue?
